Even as a child I knew something was up the way they killed off the original blue dude (the one the princess replaces) as I watched the English version. Upon rewatching the episode in Japanese, it was the first time I realized how much the editors hacked away. Also it was confusing at first how the leader piloted a black lion but had a red suit while one of the other dude had a red lion, but a black suit.. It’s known that the leader always wear red but….. Oh and the more recent (American/Canadian?) computerized version where they do match the suits to the lions just sucks.
