Concordia Discors
This was the Wildcard for the MT Knockout Round 3
The title of this translates to “Discordant Harmony.” When I first saw the scan, I thought it was “strangely beautiful” and one of those things where you’d either love it or hate it – there is no in between. So I thought my wallpaper should produce the same effect.
This round was a sudden and interesting round for me to enter because I had no idea what Art Nouveau was and under normal circumstances, I would never wall this type of scan… I had a feeling every other entry would be a vector and started out with another scan/wallpaper with a vector myself, until I found this scan in my folders. I then trashed my other wallpaper and began blending a peacock into it. The more I worked on it, the weirder it got – but like some addict, I kept going. The colors to this wallpaper were originally closer to a single hue, but since it resembled the colors of many of my other works, I decided to splash richer colors into it.
The end result was something that made me go “……” – literally. So that’s when I knew it was done. XD
