Kanako Miyamae is a transfer student to an all-girls school who has a phobia of men and is secretly searching for true love in a sea of women… On the first day, she meets Mariya – the beautiful, angelic, and seemingly perfect girl of her dreams. However Kanako later finds out that in reality, Mariya is a sadistic, cross dressing boy with every intention to torture Kanako to preserve his secret…
Season two, (Maria Holic Alive) was too nonsensical for my liking and did not show any signs of progression. More characters are introduced, but there were no developments in the characters.
